He was born in Kaposvár, 01. 02. 1971. The main character of the hungarian volleyball. During his period he became a Hungarian-, German- and Katarian champion, and also won a German-, Italian-Katarian cup. Moreover he was a European Cup winner, a World selected player and also the best player of the Italian Championship. He trained the Kaposvár, that won several chamionships and cups and he also considered as a coach of the Hungarian adult selected team. In 1986, with the Kaposvár 's volleyball team, they got up from the NB-II to the first class. In 1992 was the first time when his team became a Hngarian Championship. He was only 17, when the Hungarian adult selected team invited him. In 1994 he entered in a contract in abroad. He played in Germany and became a world-wide famous player there, trained by Stelian Moculescu. In Italy, during the world most famous championship he was selected the best Italian volleyball player in 2001, and as a reason he got the "Golden ball" and he was selected to "All Star" team. He also played in Japan, and the famous Asics company titled their new voleyball shoes with his name. From the beginig of his career he won a medal in every year. In Germany, he got known as the "Hungarian Hammer" or the "Bum-Bum Kantor", in Cuneo they called Kantor-Ace, because his strong serves. He played with severel legendary volleyball players as Andrea Lucchetta, Marco Bracci, Fabio Vullo, Andrea Giani, Fefe De Giorgi, Andrea Sartoretti, Luigi Mastrangelo, Rafael Pascual. In 2006, his home-town called him back to train and play with the team. During 5 year, they won 5 Championship and 5 golden medals in Hungarian Cup. The team got in to the Cetral-European League. From 2008, as a player, he became the Hungarian adult selected team club-captain. In 2011 he helped the Fino Kaposvár team as the leader captain, but in the final cup he also played in the team. With his performance he earned the "most valuable player in the Hungarian Cup" prize. From 2012 he works in Italy, as a trainer. He was in the Hungarian adult slected team 186 times (151 junior).

Született: Kaposvár, 1971. 02. 01. A magyar röplabdasport ikonja játékos-pályafutása alatt magyar, német és katari bajnoki címet, valamint magyar, német, olasz és katari kupagyőzelmet ünnepelhetett. Ezen kívül volt Európa-kupa győztes, világválogatott és egy ízben az olasz bajnokság legjobb játékosának is megválasztották. Volt a bajnok és kupagyőztes Kaposvár edzője és a magyar férfi felnőtt válogatott szövetségi kapitánya.
Posztja
négyesütő-nyitásfogadó. 1986-ban a kaposvári röplabda csapattal az
NB-II-ből feljutottak az első osztályba. 1992-ben lett csapatával
először magyar bajnok. 17 évesen kapott meghívást a felnőtt
válogatottba. 1994-ben külföldre szerződött. Játszott
Németországban, Stelian Moculescu edző keze alatt formálódott
világklasszis röplabdázóvá. Itáliában, a világ legerősebb
bajnokságában lett Olaszország legjobb röplabdázója 2001-ben,
amelyért Aranylabdát kapott és beválasztották az "All Star"
csapatba. Japánban is ütötte a labdát, az Asics cég röplabdacipőt
nevezett el róla. Pályafutásának kezdete óta minden évben nyert
érmet. Németországban "Magyar kalapácsként" vagy "Bumm-bumm Kantor"-ként
emlegették, Cuneo-ban Kantor-Ace-nak, azaz Kántor Ásznak hívták
bomba erejű nyitásai miatt. Olyan mitikus röplabdázókkal játszott
egy csapatban a sportág aranykorában, mint Andrea Lucchetta, Marco
Bracci, Fabio Vullo, Andrea Giani, Fefe De Giorgi, Andrea Sartoretti,
Luigi Mastrangelo, Rafael Pascual. 2006-ban hívták haza külföldről
szülővárosába játszani és edzősködni. Öt év alatt 5 bajnoki és 5
kupa aranyat nyertek. A csapat bekerült a Közép-Európai Liga
legjobbjai közé is. 2008-tól (még játékosként) lett a Magyar Férfi
Röplabda Válogatott szövetségi kapitánya. 2011-ben vezetőedzőként
segítette a Fino Kaposvár csapatát, de a kupadöntőben játékosként is
a pályára lépett. Teljesítményével kiérdemelte a "Magyar Kupa
legértékesebb játékosa" díjat.
