He was born in Kecskemét, 02. 03. 1928.

He was the founder of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation.

He was founding member of the teaching staff of Tóth Árpád High School of Debrecen, then three and half tenth years direstor of that. Todays the Retired Director of the High School.

He took part in the 1st hungarian volleyball championship in 1946.  (The Hungarian Volleyball Federation was founded in 1946 too and FIVB was founded in 1947. Hungary was a founding member.)

Ha was player in more team of Hungary between 1948 and 1956.

Ha was the coach of many team of Hungary (1951-1970: first and second liga).

He was the President of Hajdu-Bihar County Volleyball Federation between 1955 and 1958.

He gained Pro Urbe prize in Debrecen in 1998.

Some of his most famous pupils: Gyöngyi Bardi,  Anna Fehér, Antal Fodor, György Juni, György Kohári, Nóra Szilágyi, István Tornai, Ágnes Vojth.

A Magyar Röplabda Szövetség alapító tagja.

A debreceni Tóth Árpád Gimnázium alapító tantestületének tagja, majd három és fél évtizeden át igazgatója. Jelenleg a Gimnázium nyugalmazott igazgatója.

1946-ban az első magyar röplabda bajnokság szereplője.(Ebben az évben alakult a Magyar Röplabda Szövetség, a nemzetközi pedig 1947-ben. Magyarország alapító tag volt.)

1948-1956 között igazolt játékos volt több csapatban.

1951-1970 között edző volt több NB I-es és NB II-es csapatnál.

1955-1958 között a Hajdú-Bihar Megyei Röplabda Szövetség elnöke volt.

Debrecenben 1998-ban Pro Urbe díjat kapott.

Ismertebb tanítványai: Bardi Gyöngyi, Fehér Anna, Fodor Antal, Juni György, Kohári György, Szilágyi Nóra, Tornai István, Vojth Ágnes.
